What does this resolution do?
This resolution implements a series of COVID–19 public health recommendations that promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the community, and encourages residents to do what may be necessary for the promotion of health and slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Individuals, Businesses & Organizations within the City of Brookings are Encouraged to Follow these Guidelines
Protective coverings (masks) should be worn indoors when social distancing cannot be achieved, regardless of vaccination status.
All individuals two years and older should wear face masks (unless medical or developmental conditions prohibit the use).
All eligible individuals should receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Stay six (6) feet away from others when possible.
Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated areas.
Wash your hands as well as clean and disinfect areas often.
Cover coughs and sneezes.
Monitor your health daily and follow the Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidance if symptoms develop.
In addition to the specific recommendations listed above, businesses should operate in a manner consistent with CDC guidelines and any applicable state regulations and the Governor’s Executive Orders.
