On October 13th from 6:30-8:00pm, the Brookings Human Rights Commission, in partnership with the Brookings Sustainability Council and the Brookings Public Library, hosted a virtual panel discussion entitled “Everything Including the Kitchen Sink: The Science and Governance of Your Drinking Water” in conjunction with South Dakota State University’s Common Read program.
This panel discussion was one in a series of events in the Campus/Community Common Read program, designed to enhance engagement with the book "What the Eyes Don’t See" by Mona Hanna-Attisha.
Learn more about the management and distribution of safe drinking water. Panelists included city officials, civil engineers, water workers, and representatives of the Indigenous and environmental communities
