The Brookings City Council invites the public to chat with Council members at its March City Council Community Office Hours on Monday. The event will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Choco Latte at 2308 Sixth St.
Community members will have the opportunity to talk with Councilor Joey Collins and meet Andrew Rasmussen, who will be sworn in for his first three-year term with the Council in May. There is no agenda for the come-and-go event.
This will be the third session of City Council Community Office Hours. The February event was virtual. Future office hours will be hosted at different locations around the community to be easily accessible to a variety of people.
The office hours aim to increase engagement with community members by allowing an opportunity for residents to ask questions, voice concerns and better know their local elected officials. Council office hours allow for relaxed interaction to build stronger relationships with the community.
