Brookings Municipal Utilities will be starting a project to reline existing sanitary sewer mains on the streets shown on the attached map. The project will utilize trenchless technology and there will be no street excavation for this project. However, some traffic and sewer/water service interruptions can be expected as part of the project. In general, traffic and service interruptions should be limited to a single day and full road closures are not anticipated as part of the project.
The contractor for the project will be Hydro-Klean. The contractor anticipates completing most of the work in July and the project completion date is August 16, 2013. The contractor will notify the residents prior to water/sewer service interruptions. The City encourages drivers to slow down through the work area and follow the traffic control signs and cones.
