The Brookings Human Rights Committee held a Veterans’ Panel discussion on October 24, 2013 as part of the Campus Community Common Read. This panel discussion will be rebroadcast on the City Government Channel (Swiftel and Mediacom Channel 9) on the following dates:
• November 2: 5:00 p.m.
• November 11: 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
The panel consisted of current and former service men and women, and spouses, whose service spans from World War II to current day conflicts. This year’s Community Common Read selection was The Heart and the Fist: The Education of a Humanitarian, the Making of a Navy SEAL by Eric Greitens.
