[ARCHIVED] DAKOTA NATURE PARK REOPENS

Beginning Saturday, November 9, 2013, the Dakota Nature Park will reopen to the public. The 32nd Street South parking lot will be available for parking. However, the 22nd Avenue parking lot will remain closed due to continuing construction work in that area. Park development will progress in other areas. We ask that patrons use caution when travelling in the park.

The Dakota Nature Center will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-5pm, for anyone who would like to tour through the interior of the building. Due to the ground conditions around the Dakota Nature Center, only the doors facing the parking lot will be open until there is a covering of snow. A staff member will be available to answer questions about future work in the building and nature park programming. For further information, please contact the Brookings Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department at (605) 692-2708.
