The City of Brookings Landfill and Solid Waste Collection will be closed on the following days for the holiday season:
• Tuesday, December 24th
• Wednesday, December 25th
• Wednesday, January 1st
During Christmas week, all garbage will be collected on Monday, December 23rd. Garbage will not be collected on Tuesday, December 24th. Recycling will be collected as normal on Thursday, December 26th and Friday, December 27th.
The garbage and recycling collection will not be affected by the January 1st closure.
The City of Brookings Collection Department will pick up Christmas trees on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning Monday, December 30, 2013 and ending Tuesday, January 21, 2014. If you have a tree that needs to be picked up, please contact the landfill at 693-3667.
