April 8, 2014 City Council / School Board Election
Vote Centers will be used for the April 8, 2014 City Council / School Board Election. No longer are voters restricted to one polling place! Vote Centers replace precinct-based voting allowing residents to cast ballots at any voting location. Voters may choose to vote near their home, workplace, or anywhere else they find convenient. Voters can select any Vote Center, regardless of where they reside or previously voted.
Vote Center Locations will be: 1) Brookings Activity Center, 320 5th Ave.; 2) Bethel Baptist Church 714 17th Ave. So.; 3) Swiftel Center, 824 32nd Ave., Meeting Room ‘C’; and 4) Aurora Little Hall, 202 Broadway St., Aurora. Voters will be able to cast their ballots at any of the four Vote Centers.
The voting process will be the same, except voters will be checked in on an E-Pollbook (laptop) instead of a paper Pollbook. Voters will present a valid ID, receive a paper ballot, vote and return the ballot to the ballot box. Ballots will still be cast on paper with a pencil
