[ARCHIVED] CITY SEEKING NOMINATIONS FOR BUTLER HUMAN RIGHTS AWARD

The Brookings Human Rights Committee (BHRC) is now accepting nominations for the Dorothy & Eugene T. Butler Human Rights Award. This award is presented each year by the BHRC to the person(s) who has contributed to advancing the cause of human rights. The award bears the name of the first recipients, Dorothy & Eugene T. Butler. The Butlers were recognized for their lifelong advocacy in human rights issues on a local, regional, and national level.

To obtain a nomination application, please contact the Brookings City Clerk’s Office, Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 Third Street, Suite 230, (605) 692-6281, sthornes@cityofbrookings.org, or at the link below. The nomination deadline is Friday, May 16, 2014.

All nominations will be considered and reviewed by the BHRC. When the final selection for the 2015 Dorothy & Eugene T. Butler Human Rights Award recipient has been made, the BHRC will notify the recipient and the public.
