The City of Brookings has released two surveys and is requesting participation from the public to gather information as part of the Brookings Economic Development Master Plan project. The project will provide strategic direction for the City by identifying key opportunities for future growth and partnerships and also recommend place-based development strategies for the City’s future development. Other goals include outlining a framework for supporting business and investment attraction as well as small business development and entrepreneurship among key target sectors. It will also identify new and innovative changes to existing economic development incentive programs to promote business growth.
The City is asking all residents to participate if they are able. Information gathered from the Community Survey (for residents), and Business Survey (for business owners) will be used to inform and craft the final Economic Development Master Plan. Each survey will take about five minutes to complete and will be available online through the month of June.
Please take this survey if you are a Brookings resident - we appreciate your feedback!
