1. Can I bring my dog to City parks?

Your dog is welcome in City parks; however, by city ordinance, the dog must be controlled on a leash at all times, and you must clean up after your dog. Dogs may not be left unattended in a park or recreation area, such as tied to a picnic table or tree.

2. Can I reserve a picnic shelter at Hillcrest Park?

Call the Parks and Recreation office at (605) 692-2708 for reservations beginning January of each year.

3. The weather is bad; is my recreation activity canceled for today?

Call the Park and Recreation office at 605-692-2708 or become a fan on Facebook for the latest updates on activities. Generally speaking, activities are not made-up after a weather cancellation.

If school is cancelled or not in session, all youth activities sponsored by the Recreation Department are also cancelled for that day.
